On 26 January 2016, Mission IAS Youth Club and Bandhilki Social Foundation (formerly Parivartan) organized a large-scale Road Safety Awareness Campaign across Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad).
In response to the city’s growing population and increasing number of road accidents, a team of over 100 volunteers participated in a day-long awareness drive at major traffic signals across the city. Volunteers distributed roses and awareness pamphlets to motorists and traffic police personnel, encouraging citizens to follow traffic rules and adopt responsible road safety practices.
During the campaign, approximately 10,000 roses and 5,000 awareness leaflets were distributed from morning until evening. The initiative aimed to create a positive and engaging approach towards road safety awareness while promoting civic responsibility among citizens.
As Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar continues its journey towards becoming a smart city, the campaign emphasized that every citizen has a vital role to play in ensuring safer roads and a more disciplined traffic environment. By following traffic regulations and respecting public safety measures, individuals contribute to building a safer and more responsible community for all.
